This past weekend South by Southwest musical festival went down! We have a new series here at Cultureshockmag.com where you can actually get the viewpoint of the artist that are on the grind and performed at the famed SXSW.  Instead of hearing from us you will actually get the experiences of those who ripped the stage in Austin, Texas. We will open up the blogging doors for these artists to describe what it was like to be on one of the largest stages for up and coming as well as established artist.

"SXSW was a very different experience, I performed at the Victory Grill for Emergence Media: The Revival-SXSW (Women in Hip Hop Showcase) I can honestly say the experience was a good one, hopefully I gained new fans and pleased my faithful ones.

Afterwards we walked around Downtown Austin, and the vibe and scenery was incredible hearing all of the different types of music in the air,I strongly suggest that anyone that missed it this year make it a priority to attend next year cause I will be back."

"As I return from the craziness that is otherwise known as SXSW, I drink about a gallon of cranberry juice to try and at least cleanse my system as I believe that this past weekend I smoked more than possible to man. From running into every single person I follow on twitter, to buying SPECIAL brownies from a Mario/ Luigi look-a-like I had a wonderful time. Being able to politic with other artists is the best part about SXSW.

Seems like some people you've known forever. The downside to being able to run into someone who you check out on the net all the time is that you might find them to be a lame after meeting them. Though, the highlight of my trip was being able to kick it with Pac Div for a night. They were the homies the entire trip, probably the most valid and couldve been as hollywood as they wanna be, but all in all stayed true. Expect to see me hitting alot of stages next year..."

Peace!
