One of the hottest acts on the rise, straight out of the Virgin Islands, has got to be none other than the "King of the Throwback Gumby Haircut" himself, Verse Simmonds. Originally apart of a songwriting team, The Jugganauts, Verse spent years writing and working on production for others, and not as a solo act.
Since then, Verse signed with Interscope Records and has solidified his place in the industry as one of the most eclectic and fresh upcoming acts that the world has seen in a long time. He landed his first hit single, "Buy You A Round", with Yung Joc in 2009, and put out a mixtape called the 'Sextape Chronicles'. He is currently at work to release his first studio album, 'Stories of A Bachelor', and will without-a-doubt, take the music world by storm.
CultureShockMag's very own Showtime & DJ Batman caught up with Verse at the ICON Lounge in Atlanta, where Verse recorded some scenes for his new music video, "Show Me What You Got", and also had cameos from Bobby Valentino, KiD CuDi, Rock City, and Shawty.
